We typically recommend deep cleaning once a year, which in our case means a full-day operation performed by a 5–10-person cleaning team, depending on the size of the office space. In this case, the Czeizel Institute, a private clinic in Budapest, hired our cleaning company for a combination of window cleaning, partial deep cleaning, and carpet cleaning. The job included the cleaning of approximately 90 large, segmented windows, multiple restrooms, and 600 square meters of carpet and area rugs.

The carpet cleaning process involved multiple steps: we first removed loose dirt with industrial vacuums, then treated visible stains with targeted spot removers. After that, we performed deep cleaning using professional wet-extraction machines — spraying, dwell time, and vacuum cycles, repeated if needed. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves.

For our daily and weekly office cleaning services, we now exclusively use cleaning products that are certified with the EU Ecolabel. This certification guarantees that the products meet the European Union’s strict environmental standards and place minimal strain on the environment during use.

Of course, using eco-labeled cleaning agents alone doesn’t mean that an office becomes truly sustainable — but it’s a clear and important step in the right direction. Our goal is to contribute to workplaces not only being clean but also functioning in a more environmentally conscious way. In this sense, office cleaning is not just about cleanliness but also about responsibility.

For certain specialized cleaning tasks — like deep cleaning or carpet cleaning — other types of products may still be required. However, their use is minimal compared to the environmentally certified products we use every day.

We select our eco-friendly cleaning supplies based on four key criteria. First and foremost, they must carry the EU Ecolabel, as this is one of the key foundations of green office cleaning. Second, they must be effective — we only use products that have performed well in independent testing. Third, they must come from reliable sources: most of the products we use are manufactured in Germany under strict regulatory standards, whether they’re well-known brands or private-label items sold in multiple countries. Lastly, we ensure that every product we rely on is readily available and purchasable in large quantities to maintain consistent quality in the long term.

But green office cleaning isn’t only about eco-friendly cleaning products. Among other things, selective waste collection and the use of bin liners with the lowest possible environmental impact are also essential.

Most modern offices, especially those located in office buildings in Budapest, are carpeted. One of our core principles in the field of office cleaning is to provide a comprehensive service, which is why, as a company specialized in office cleaning, we also offer carpet cleaning – but only to clients who have a contract with us for regular office cleaning.

We carry out the work using a wet cleaning technology: detergent solution is applied to the carpet, and then a high-performance machine immediately extracts the dirty water. We mostly use professional German-made cleaning machines and detergents, known for their reliability and efficiency. Please note that this method cannot, or can only be partially, applied if the subfloor is sensitive to moisture (such as wood or drywall).

Two Cleaning Methods

• Full carpet cleaning
  Recommended if the carpet has not been cleaned for a long time or if hygiene reasons make it necessary. It is easiest to perform in an unfurnished area, making it a practical choice before moving into a new office. Naturally, it can also be done in rooms already furnished; in such cases we move the smaller furniture and clean underneath. Based on our experience, there is no need to repeat this more often than once every two to three years.
• Spot cleaning
  A far more cost-effective option when the carpet is generally clean, but a few stains need to be removed. Spot cleaning is not suitable for heavily soiled carpets, as a sharp contrast may remain between the treated and untreated areas. This service can be provided on an ad-hoc basis or at regular intervals (e.g., monthly).

In our experience, about 70% of stains can be completely removed, while most of the rest fade enough to become barely noticeable. In rare cases, certain stains cannot be removed (for example, marks caused by bright-colored permanent markers).

Preparing for Carpet Cleaning

• Small, movable furniture should be cleared in advance.
• Important: no items that may absorb moisture (such as cardboard boxes filled with documents) should be left on the floor.

Individual Pricing

The cost of carpet cleaning is always determined individually. The price depends on the condition of the carpet, the degree of soiling, the number of stains, as well as the color and pattern. On light, uniform carpets, stain removal is always more difficult than on darker, patterned ones.

Useful Advice for New Offices

When choosing carpets for a new office, it is best to avoid light-colored, uniform types (such as light blue or light green), as dirt and stains are much more visible on them. In communal areas – where coffee or food stains are common – darker, patterned carpets are a much more practical solution.
